Behind the Lens

My story with Africa began as a young boy in Zambia. Those early years shaped everything that would follow.

Photography, years later, became my way of returning — a way of honouring the wildlife, landscapes, and people who left such a deep imprint on my life.

Mark Brooks Wildlife Photography. Across the plains of South Africa, the thornveld of Kruger, the golden grasses of the Serengeti, and the misted forests of Rwanda, I photograph wildlife as it lives — powerful, fragile, instinctive, and endlessly moving. In colour and in black & white, these portraits reveal Africa at its most timeless: light, dust, silence, and the quiet stories carried by every animal that crosses the lens.
